Exclusively available in 18ct white gold and limited to eight pieces worldwide, the new Struthers for Morgan has been tailored to reflect the classic streamline design of the Aero 8. The aim of the new collaboration was to achieve a deeper synergy than shared branding or obvious automotive tagging, so the design relies instead on mirroring curves and lines to draw a more physical energy between watch and car.
Just like Morgan's cars, each watch is hand-built to order using a combination of state of the art technology and century’s old techniques. Similar to the existing Officer's and Field Trench for Morgan models, the new SfMII will house a recomissioned vintage Omega base calibre, with customisations now including wandering seconds and a greater of choice for customised hand-finishing.
The solid 18ct white gold case features hand-engraved Morgan wings and limited edition serial numbers discreetly located within an outer hinged back, which swings open to reveal the movement hidden beneath a sapphire crystal inner case back. The dials are cut from 18ct white gold using the centuries-old technique of drop stamping.
Each watch is hand built to order in a process which takes between 4 and 6 months.
